By accessing or using NearRadar (“the Service”), operated by NearRadar (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
NearRadar is a local discovery platform that aggregates publicly available information about events, parks, libraries, and other activities from government agencies, public data sources, and community organizations. We display this information to help users discover what is happening near them.
3. User Accounts
You may create an account to access additional features such as saving items, setting notification preferences, and submitting corrections. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
- Not create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:

5. Content and Data Sources
Third-Party Data
The Service aggregates information from third-party sources including government open data portals, public library systems, parks departments, and community event calendars. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any third-party content.
User Contributions
When you submit corrections, flags, or other feedback through the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content to improve the Service. You represent that any content you submit does not violate the rights of any third party.

We provide attribution to original data sources where applicable. Individual event details, venue information, and images may be subject to the terms of their respective sources.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, layout, code, and original content, is owned by NearRadar and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.
Third-party content displayed on the Service (event descriptions, venue information, images) remains the property of its respective owners and is displayed under applicable open data licenses or fair use principles.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information provided through the Service is accurate or reliable. Event details, times, locations, and availability are sourced from third parties and may change without notice. Always verify details with the original source before attending an event or visiting a location.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEARRADAR AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NearRadar and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
10. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
